On the ground floor, the kitchen
area, as in ancient times, continues to be the heart of the entire house, where
there is a comfortable sitting area in front of the original fireplace dated
1894. Beside this, you may find a breakfast room and the cooking area. Also
located on the ground floor there is a large dining room with a table that may
accommodate up to 16 people, very useful to groups that like to rent the whole
estate (the VILLINO and SCUDERIE villas together). At groundfloor there is also
a cosy studio-room and a small bathroom. Open to the garden, there is a charming
veranda, shaded by linden trees for dining and relaxing open-air.
From the groundfloor, an important staircase leads you upstair to the "sleeping"
area. There are three double bedrooms and 3 batghrooms, each one with a shower
and one of them with a bathtub too. A 4th bedroom with 2 single beds may be
added on request for groups of 8 persons.
All of the furnishings are original
dated from the end of the XVIII Century to the beginning of the XX Century,
belonging to the estate and to the family from generations.
The park, which can be described as a typical Italian “giardino”
or garden, offers lovely shaded corners for reading, chatting, eating and relaxing.
In the summer evenings, the fresh air of the countryside is particularly appreciated,
especially while enjoying the spectacular sunsets or dining at candlelight.
Because of its particular orientation, the villa does not need air-conditioning,
being all the rooms very fresh during the day and the night.
A lovely stone path leads through the fruit orchards to a swimmingpool 12x6
metres large, surrounded by vineyards, olive groves, rose bushes and an enchanting
landscape overlooking the true chianti hills!
