LAMOLE
Lamole si trova nelle colline del Chianti tra Firenze e Siena dove il paesaggio si sviluppa armonioso con cipressi, querce, castagni, olivi e… le famose viti di uve nere San Giovese che producono il rinomato vino di Lamole Chianti Classico D.O.C.G.
Il panorama è sconfinato quanto unico: le dolci colline del Chianti lavorate e trasformate nei secoli con il lavoro e l’impegno dei suoi abitanti in un enorme giardino votato alla produzione di eccezionali nettari.
Il territorio di Lamole (600m s.l.m.), è stato abitato e coltivato fin dall’epoca degli antichi Romani.

Per la sua posizione geografica è sempre stato un territorio naturalmente predisposto alla coltivazione e quindi all’insediamento umano. All’inizio del XIV secolo, il territorio del Chianti fu teatro delle ricorrenti guerre tra Firenze e Siena. Lamole, sede della Lega della Valdigreve, divenne un baluardo della difesa di Firenze contro Siena.
Il territorio lamolese è caratterizzato dalla presenza di tanti piccoli agglomerati, eredità delle forme più arcaiche dell’insediamento rurale.
Per utilizzare quanta più superficie possibile per la coltivazione, la morfologia del terreno fu corretta con terrazzamenti. L’ottima esposizione delle viti sistemate ad “alberello” ha dato origine al “buon vino di Lamole”, considerato tra i migliori del Chianti Classico.
Lamole con il suo territorio circostante è rimasto per fortuna una reale fotografia del passato. Salendo da Greve per la strada fiancheggiata da cipressi s’incontrano ville importanti, disegnate da famosi architetti come Leonardo e Michelangelo.

Wonderful villa, perfect Tuscany sunshine.
Visits to all of the "tourist" towns and some of the beaten tracks.
Appropriate breaks between to enjoy the lovely pool, Chianti wines and country food.
Filippo's restaurant a regular evening retreat from day!
Exellent food and hospitality, bad to be going home, but will enjoy everlasting memories.

A week to remember for ever to be with the entire family in such a beautiful place was a very special time for all of us.
Time to reflect, time to relax, time to eat memorable meals, time to shop! Time to ponder, time to chat and just time that was so precious after tiryng months. We are all renewed and ready to go ahead with special memories of a special place.
Not to mention the friendly cats who loved us unconditionally and of course the rare humming birds who kept us all spellbound with their frantic flapping wings and feeding on the nectarmof the flowers and who were real camera shy.

We returned for another week in paradise! Everything lived up to expectations and more. We spent most of the time by the pool, kids just loved it again. Giovanna and Sandro were again the perfect hosts, there when needed!!
Batteries recharged we return to the UK a few (many) pounds heavier, too much good food and good wine. We hope to return again some other day.

Although the weather never really cooperated - we can imagine using your beautiful ground everyday in the sunshine. The location is wonderful land we and the various parts of our family had a wonderful Tuscan experience.
Lamole is wonderful and we particularly loved the strade bianche t. Volpaia and Panzano - area we did not know well (including the meeting w/cinghiale). Salve e grazie a te e a Sandro - you were great.

Un isolamento volontario proprio nel cuore del Chianti e, al tempo stesso, vicinissimo a meravigliose città quali Firenze e Siena. Il clima mite dovuto all’altitudine che d’estate permette di dormire per tutta la notte di un solo sonno! La spontanea cortesia della proprietaria sempre disposta a dare ottime indicazioni per farci scoprire persone e posti di tempi ormai dimenticati da noi di città. Ci siamo sempre trovati come nella comodità di casa nostra, ma al tempo stesso in un posto incontaminato. Una settimana di relax assoluto! Il mio consiglio per chi legge: vivete un’esperienza semplice quanto coinvolgente ed indimenticabile!!!

Uscire dal mondo aggressivo e stressante e trovare un posto simile è l’ideale per una vacanza rigenerante. Sensazioni dimenticate nella frenesia della vita quotidiana, un posto davvero meraviglioso. Spero di poter tornare presto a trovarvi.

... anche io ho sentito una specie di fil rouge con voi tutti. Adesso siamo a metà dell’inverno e mi sento stanca, così ripenso spesso a Lamole e ricordo Le Scuderie, la tua villa grandissima, il bel paesaggio e quella bella sera quando abbiamo cenato sulla terrazza.. E’ stato il paradiso! Io e Pietro parliamo spesso di tornare alle Scuderie.
